Hi there:) Found your blog when I googled about fasting... How is it working out for you? How many fasts did you do before you saw results and how do you feel? Just curious as I plan to add IF into my paleo/CF lifestyle.
One of the biggest things I noticed when I started to fast was that food no longer had such a strong control over me. In the past, I thought I would die of hunger if I ever skipped breakfast but now I have so much more control of when and how I eat. As for weight loss, I noticed a little weight loss in the beginning but since then have pretty much maintained my current level. I will still usually do a daily 16 hour fast (and workout) with a 24 hour fast thrown in every now and again.
Well I'd like to lean up a bit for summer. I do let hunger dictate my life more than I'd like. In skipping breakfast(15hour fasting), I've noticed that the hunger won't kill me. I can do it!:)
Specific goals are keep my muscle mass and lose about 4-5% BF, to keep me at about 19-20% for the summer. Nothing crazy! I keep about 90% Primal/Paleo with my cross training/CF workouts.
You sound like you have the right idea. Your approach of 90% commitment to eating combined with CF and daily intermittent fasting should get you down to your goal in no time.
One thing I have found after going really low carb for awhile is that I tend to plateau. I have started to put in a refeed day once or twice a week and that has really helped.
